Biographical Note: Dr. William Seigman Ehrich was born in South Carolina and lived in Georgetown, South Carolina; Louisville, Kentucky; Evansville, Indiana; and finally Manning, South Carolina. Ehrich was a surgeon at Evansville State Hospital for most of his career. He had a brother, Arthur Ehrich, and a sister, Cornelia Ehrich Weinberg.
Scope and Content Note: Majority of collection is candid photographs (1907-1950) of the Ehrich family. Most are unidentified. Includes several images (1915) of Pawley's Island, SC, and a 1937 flood in Evansville, IN. Several photographs (1951) of Dr. William S. Ehrich and his brother, Arthur, fishing near Manning, SC. Also includes a speech (handwritten) Ehrich presented to a medical group in Evansville, IN.
